ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
OUR MISSION is to improve the health of the community by supporting CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in providing excellent, compassionate healthcare to patients and families in Santa Fe and northern New Mexico, regardless of ability to pay.
Welcome to the St. Vincent Hospital Foundation. It's been 40 years since some very insightful people from our community founded our organization. Back then, the mission of the Foundation was to serve the hospital as an independent source of funding for capital projects and advanced training. That role hasn't changed, although it has greatly expanded.
In 1980, a group of forward-thinking community leaders recognized the value that philanthropic support could add to a hospital and founded St. Vincent Hospital Foundation. In the 37 years since, the foundation has worked with CHRISTUS to take advantage of opportunities to improve the provisions of health care, and to address unmet healthcare needs in Santa Fe and northern New Mexico. To do this, the foundation raises funds to help meet the hospital’s needs for capital projects, major equipment, patient and community programs, education, and special projects.
“The St. Vincent Hospital Foundation, through its philanthropic support of CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, plays a critical role in helping to improve health care for everyone in Santa Fe and northern New Mexico.”
~ Mary Macukas, Board Chair ~
The Foundation is governed by an independent board of directors drawn from the Santa Fe community. These dedicated, concerned community members believe in the value of philanthropy and are committed to improving health care in our community. According to President & CEO, Jeff Lamie, “Our programs truly make a difference and we’re so pleased to be able to play an integral role in improving healthcare for everyone in Santa Fe and northern New Mexico.”
