Dr. Damron was raised in Indiana having moved permanently to New Mexico in the mid 80’s. He attended Veterinary school at Purdue University, Medical School at Indiana University, and did post-doctoral work at the University of Kentucky and University of New Mexico. He is a board-certified Diagnostic Radiologist and fellowship trained in Nuclear Medicine with 45 years of experience. He served as Chairman of the NM Health Insurance Exchange for 6 years and promoted a detailed knowledge of the ACA regarding the regulatory landscape on state and national healthcare issues. Dr. Damron ran for Governor in 2006 and remains politically active in national, state and community affairs. He has experience in business development with 30 years of experience creating multiple new businesses. He is also the president and CEO of Plains Eagle Corporation, a commercial real estate development company in Santa Fe.
