"I grew up in a town, just north of Milwaukee, which had a wonderful small hospital. It was a huge part of the community, as were the physicians who worked within the hospital and those who ran their own practices. All were a source of pride and served as a foundation for the community they served. As an adult, I had the privilege of working for the only free-standing children's hospital in Virginia. It too was an integral part of the community, as well as a huge source of pride. With these experiences, I came to believe that a hospital plays a pivotal role in its community. As a member of the St. Vincent Hospital Foundation board, I can play a role in helping our hospital with its mission."
I grew up in West Bend, WI. My mom was a music teacher by education, though later worked for one of Wisconsin's US Senators. My dad was an executive at Amity Leather products. Both were involved in our community with not-for-profit organizations. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in marketing, am a graduate of the National Planned Giving Institute at the College of William and Mary and in 2012 became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®). I spent more than 20 years working for not-for-profit organizations, namely universities and hospitals helping donors and their advisors design charitable estate plans. In 2008, I made began my career in wealth management. In this role, I still have the opportunity to help my clients achieve their goals, both personal and charitable. My husband, John, and I moved to Santa Fe in 2013 because we loved the city and wanted to build our life here.
